Organic Honey means raw organic honey. Heating is not allowed here, not above maximum 95 degrees F. To be organic, honey must:
– Follow good organic management, according to each country’s set of standards and conditions.
– Processing should only be done by the means of gravitational settling and straining.
You can look at the back of the bottle. If it says anything about added corn syrups, the honey is not pure. You can perform a quality check at home as well.
– Take a transparent glass of water and drop a drop of honey in it.
– If the honey disperses, it contains added sugar syrup to it.
– Pure honey does not disperse in water.
Raw means not pasteurised or filtered. Organic means certified free of chemicals. So honey can be raw and organic, raw but not organic and organic but not raw. They are two different things.
